A Human Experiment

I'm baaaaaack! Ha! Well...like a true gemini, I have switched themes yet again. Although, I think I'll continue some posts about stuff I make. Now, I'm doing an experiment. Yep! A full-fledged science/psychological experiment. The big question? What will happen if I (mostly) go off of added and refined sugars? I did the "no 'poo" thing successfully for several months, why not this trendy little idea!?! The reason? I feel like I'm an addict...and I didn't used to be. I was not really big on sweets a decade ago, but after several jobs (including my current sweet-filled one) where I had ready access to all sorts of cakes, candies, and confections, I can't stop myself. Every time I see a sweet, I have to eat it. Or at least some of it. I especially hate when I finish something and realize that I didn't even think it was very good. Ugh! Why did I eat it then!?!?! Also, when I've eaten a delicious, healthy, meal and had one small piece of chocolate at the end, then I go to work and eat 2 cookies, a brownie/cupcake, a twizzler's pull n' peel, half a Costco muffin, a dixie cup of Cheez-its, and a salted caramel chocolate. Yep, pretty sure that's not really an exaggeration. Gross. So, I've decided to do a temporary cleanse. Kick the habit and then bring it back in moderation.
So, I just finished a big bowl of ice-cream with the last of my thin mints, I put all of the random candy I had in my cupboard (I really don't go that crazy at home, work is the culprit here, but still) either in the garbage or in a bowl on the coffee table for my roommates, and told my coworkers to keep me in line. Game. On.
