Day 2 & 3 : Withdrawals?

Good news about day 2...it went much better than the first day. I did finish the last of my baked oatmeal, with some skim milk, but the rest of the day I was so strong! My roommate made some really delicious looking chocolate cookies and left them on the table. I put 2 in a zip-lock and stuck them in the freezer for later! Ya!
Found this when I did a Google Image search for "withdrawals." Enjoy.
Day 3 is a bit shaky. It could just be the cloudy weather, but maybe it's something more. Withdrawals? I feel...ugh. I have things to do but I feel cold and unmotivated. Hopefully this will pass and I'll come out on the other side feeling better than ever! Pushing through this, folks! Don't you worry, this isn't over yet. If I can go almost 3 moths without Shampoo, I can definitely go a week or 2 (or 3?) without extra sugar. Nbd.

Day 1: Less Than A Big Success

Uh, yeah. Oops. Ok, so even though I read countless statements of "it was so much harder than I thought," and, "Wow, sugar is in (insert any food here)?!," I have to admit, I was a bit surprised by this whole thing today. First, I thought it was harmless to eat my left-over baked oatmeal (I'm poor, wasting is such a sin) that had a bit of brown sugar in it. I was proud that I decided to give away my vanilla yogurt and opted for the plain Greek yogurt which has very little sugar (maybe not refined? hopefully?) to go on top. The big mess-up was when I ate 2 inches of the fruit-by-the-foot given to me by a second-grader. Oops. Popped it in my mouth and didn't realize I did anything wrong for about 10 minutes. First day folly, no big deal, right? Then, I had a busy night and didn't finish making my dinner until later than I'd like and ended up snacking on lots of cheese, crackers, chips, and guacamole. Although not particularly sugary, not particularly beneficial to me. What have I learned today? Mostly, plan my day so that my meals are not delayed too much or at least have an alternative healthy thing to eat. It WAS girl's craft night, so I certainly don't feel guilty for any of my actions eating, not that I think guilt associated with eating is every very appropriate. However, I do look forward to a better day tomorrow. Also, I think I need to drink more water. Like, you know, more than 2 glasses a day might help. One in the morning, one at night just isn't cutting it for some reason...
Wish me Luck!
